With wedding season in full swing I thought I would share a website with you that I found a while back that may help you brides and grooms out there find a unique gift for your bridal party or guests. It is called Bread and Badger and they sell a variety of etched glassware from pint glasses to shot glasses to salt and pepper shakers. They offer a variety of funky and artistic stock designs as well as custom orders (take about 1-3 weeks to create and ship). They make great gifts for anyone (not just wedding related) so take a minute and check them out!

Tiger Lilly Accesories

Every once and a while I like to break up the monotony of photos with some tips for brides or wedding related items I have found and love. A while back I came across this site Tiger Lilly Jewelry which I absolutely LOVE! They have tons of accessories for weddings, proms or any other special event you may be attending. Their items range from the usual earrings, necklaces and bracelets to bird cage veils, hair vines and unique headbands most having a very vintage style. They also carry limited edition and one of a kind items and offer custom made pieces. Pro Photographer vs. Amateur Photographer

Times are though, the economy sucks and more and more couples are trying to save by hiring friends who do photography as a hobby as their wedding photographer. Simply put…don’t do it, and this article will show you why not!

A fellow photographer shared this article that was featured in Seattle Bride Magazine recently. The article was written by a Seattle photographer who had some experience in travel photography but absolutely no experience in wedding photography. He had the same “how hard can it be” attitude as many photographers who have never shot a wedding before. He found out very quickly, it is not a joke and it is not easy. To prove his point he even shared some of the photos he shot while standing side by side with the pro he was paired with. As you can easily see they don’t even compare in quality to the pro’s shots.

If you are in the market for a wedding photographer whether it be myself or someone else take the time to read this article and see why you should spend the extra cash and stick with the pro. You just may regret it later if you don’t.

Behressentials – Jewelry

This one is for you brides out there and anyone else who likes vintage jewelry for that matter. My friend Steph who used to live down the street and her friend Annie have started their own one of a kind jewelry company on Etsy called Behressentials. Everything is so cute and would make a great one of a kind “something old” for your wedding day. They also would be a great gift for mom’s or the bridal party. Here is some info from their site…
