I always enjoy working with brides or grooms that I have known prior to meeting them about photography. I have found it makes following them around all day with a camera just a bit less intrusive and a little more like I am just another friend or family member there to celebrate their big day. Not only did Kellie and I go to the same college but we spent 10 days trekking through London and Paris on a fun filled trip back in 2005. So needless to say I was quite excited when she contacted me about photographing her wedding. Kellie & Anthony got married next to the lake in Verona Park in Verona, NJ then headed on over to the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, NJ to party the night away. A big thank you to Lisa for second shooting with me. Here are some pictures from their big day!

I must say this is the first time I have seen imaginary double dutch jump rope break out in the middle of a reception!!

Amie & Dave – The Highlands Mansion, Fort Washington, PA – 8.8.09

Amie & Dave got married at the beautiful Highlands Mansion & Gardens in Fort Washington, PA. The weekend of Amie & Dave’s wedding was by far one of the hottest weekends all summer but they were complete troopers and never complained once! I started the day out at their new home with Amie and some of the girls while they prepared for the big day.

Amie’s mom helped lace her into her dress…

Krista Patton shot with me this day and took the below photos of Dave and the guys getting ready.

They had no problem keeping themselves entertained until it was time to head over to the ceremony site.

Once at the Highlands we did our best to stay inside out of the hot sun while the guests were being seated.

After some last minute touch ups, it was time to head down the aisle.

We tried to do the family and bridal party photos as quickly as possible to get everyone out of the heat and over to the reception site.

Once we were done with all of the photos at the Highlands, we headed over to Marjeane’s Caterers in Lansdale for their reception. They had a candy bar set up with color coordinated candy for the guests to put in custom bags to take home.

Julie & Dan 8.30.08 Flourtown Country Club

Julie & Dan had a beautiful ceremony that took place in the backyard of Dan’s parents house. It’s landscaped with tons of plants and cute garden trinkets and a huge Koi pond.It really made for some great photos! After the ceremony took place everyone headed over to the Flourtown Country Club for some group photos and the reception and yes my first time ever driving a golf cart!
