Justine & Nate – Bridal Fashion – Cape May, NJ – 6.13.2011

Justine and Nate will be getting married Labor Day weekend in the Philadelphia area and like many couples they wanted to be able to capture a variety of photos of just the two of them on their big day, but due to time constraints or location a fancy lengthy photo shoot is not an option. They opted to do a bridal fashion shoot down in Cape May, NJ which allowed them to dress up and get those additional photos at a location away from their wedding site. Normally these shoots are done after the wedding but they decided to do this one before so they could use the photos as a guest signature book at their reception. Guest signature books with photos from your engagement shoot (or bridal fashion shoot) are the perfect addition to your wedding day, and can be displayed for years to come in your new home together. Just a disclaimer for those who are curious which I am sure is everyone, this is not Justine’s actual wedding dress nor is this what Nate will be wearing either. The dress was bought on clearance just for the shoot and the bouquet was handmade by yours truely with flowers bought from Cape Winds Florist. Her hair and makeup however were done by the Accent on Beauty Salon. Here is a sneak peek from their shoot with more photos to follow. East Coast Parasailing

Leave it up to me to end up working on my vacation…if you can call this work! I was off wandering around the marina in the fog taking pictures of the fishing boats and was approached by Andy the owner of East Coast Parasailing. He was impressed with my camera and asked me to come out on one of the Parasailing boats to take some new pictures for their website, brochures, posters etc. Lets just say it didn’t take much convincing if any at all to get me to agree to this!

The weather was a bit questionable for most of the week but finally Friday there was a beautiful bright blue sky which meant it was time for Parasailing. I had never been Parasailing before so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was so easy. They strap you in a harness and life vest before you go to the platform on the back of the boat, next you take a seat while they hook you to the harness and as they start to drive the boat you just float up off the platform. The next thing you know you are up in the air with an amazing view across the entire island and of some dolphins below if you are lucky. It’s so quiet you can’t even hear the boat engine running. Landing was just as easy! A quick dunk in the water if you want then back in the air for your landing on the platform.

Liz & Dan’s engagement session was the end to a very long but exciting weekend for me. We headed down the shore Sunday to Ocean City but due to an unexpected beach dredging project we had to come up with a plan B. After a little Mack & Manco’s we were off to Cape May.
